The Netizens

When was the last time you shared things with your family freely or went on an adventurous hike? Or posted a picture and didn't care how many people hit like? Escape this trauma guys and start living.

Playing Candy Crush isn't a waste of time for us,
Sitting and sharing things with family is.
We are the Netizens,
Ever wondered what our life is?

We agree with a total stranger on Twitter,
And avoid our friends on Facebook.
We'll hit the share button to save lives.
Our life is an open e-book!

Our heads buried under the phone,
Don't remember when the sun had last shone.

We'll judge others by the captions on their pictures,
And make fun of the features they can't fix.
We are the Netizens,
We sleep till twelve since we're up till six!

Garrix and Hardwell control our emotions,
Along with Ed Sheeran & Adam Levine,
"We're fucking animals",
When we dance to the machine!

We consider it 'love',
While it is only infatuation.
We are the Netizens,
All we want to do is Public Display of Affection!

We are the Netizens.
Our mood changes seasons,
Our relationship status goes from 'married' to'single'
And we've got no valid reasons.

We feel immense vanity,
When our social life is at the peak!
We argue using the sharpest words,
With the mothers who have taught us to speak.

We laugh with many,
We don't trust any.
We claim to become billionaires.
But the wallet of our dreams has not a single penny!

We commit too much,
We settle for too less.
We are the Netizens,
This little stressed out life of ours is a total mess.

THE LENSMAKER

We all have been imparted a vision by the so called ' Lensmaker ' - God! If we're all equal in the eyes of God then why are our visions so diff erent ? THE LENSMAKER                               - 20 Sept' 15 Oh Lensmaker sitting up there, How could you be so unfair. Gifting eyes of vision to all, But eyes seeing the truth are rare. It would've been better if you had blessed each one of us this blessing, But instead you left some of my friends in a game of guessing. Guessing how the world looks like! The ones who can never witness the sunset nor could go on an adventurous hike. We seldom use the eyesight to appraise the beauty of things; like adoring a scoop hot chocolate fudge, The only thing we do with our eyes today is to judge! We bifurcate each other under fat, short ,tall, thin very skillfully, Better are blind people who treat every person on the planet equally.✨ Why only eyes; that just helplessly watch misery, And these h

Paying Guest

At this apartment called life, Many showed their true colors, Some of them faded with time, While the brightest was hers. This apartment called life, Rented by many, painted by one. There were some tenants before her, But amongst them she was the best, I wish I could keep her forever, But she was just a paying guest. When life was lonely and I was about to rust, She came and gave me the definition of trust. Calmed me down when I was robust, Taught me the difference between love & lust. She always said she didn't have a talent, But for the first time she was wrong, Her talent was to enrich the soul of others, And flourish their good qualities along. I still remember the good old days, When I was trough and she was crest, Life was rough but she used give her best, She moved away then, She was just a paying guest. Staying away from her was a tragedy, Not just a girl but she was a remedy; Of my deepest cuts, of my lightest sprain, I just hope someday we me

A Game of Guessing

Destiny has always been unfair, Some end up lucky, while some in despair. They touch, feel & read by pressing, Life for them is a game of guessing. We better agree that our lucks must be bright, We have been gifted with the vision of sight. We know how the sun sets and rises, What the world looks like, what all it comprises. Impaired but ambitious, Disabled but precious. Each one of them has a different spark. Remember, no blind is afraid of dark. Writers, teachers, photographers, They have potential we don't see, And sometimes it just occurs to me, Are they blind? Or are we? We must show gratitude towards this blessing, Our life could've also been a game of guessing.                        — Balshree Adityaa Wagh                             04 April 2017
